A visit to the town’s blue-washed Medina, visit Plaza Uta el – Hammam and the restored Kasbah, tasting a delicious mint tea in the main square Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains in the northwest Morocco, is a blue and white washed city and one of the most emblematic cities to visit.

The name refers to the shapes of the mountain tops that tower over the town looking like two horns (chaoua) of a goat. “Chef Chaouen” means “look at the horns”.
